Discover my varied story categories
CMG Writing covers three genres in my short story collection. Thrillers, romcoms and mysteries!
With my thrillers, I hope to get you on the edge of your seat, wondering what's going to happen next with my characters. I take my inspiration from some classic thriller authors, and I hope to captivate you in a smaller story with the same twisty endings!
Onto my romcoms and who doesn't love a classic meet-cute? I write stories about a wide range of romantic relationships, hopefully bringing a smile to your face. Representation matters, and I hope you enjoy reading some slow-burn or enemies-to-lovers tales as much as I enjoy creating them!
And finally, my mysteries. Do you love a whodunnit story? Are you like me, wanting to figure out who the killer is before the reveal? I will bring you stories that keep you guessing, with maybe a red herring (or two), until that final reveal. I will also include stories from a howcatchem POV where I enter the mind of the killer and follow the police trying to stop them!
Thrillers
My thrillers aim to pull readers into the world and give them a real sense of the characters I've built. Whether that's outright hating the main antagonist or being left wondering what happened, I pull you into worlds where you should expect everything to happen!
Romcoms
Everyone has a soft spot for romcoms. If you want a random meet-cute or awkward characters you can relate to, I hope you enjoy my stories, where I bring a smile to your face and make you laugh.
Mysteries
If you're like me and you like figuring out what's going on before it happens, I invite you to read my mystery short stories. Can you guess who the killer is and why they do what they do? Let me know if you work it out before the reveal.

CMG Writing started with a genuine love of reading and writing that's stuck with me since I was little, getting lost in whatever adventure I'd picked up that week. These stories are my way of giving you that same little escape from everyday life, and hopefully, building a lovely wee community of readers along the way!
Come Behind The Scenes
CMG Writing is a way for me to share my stories with anyone who wants to read them. I do this for the pure love of building characters, creating stories and often surprising myself where the story ends up.
I understand the importance of building my characters, giving them a backstory (that may not even appear in the storyline itself), but it gives me a clearer understanding of why my characters make the choices they do.
